It seems as this sock is taking forever! At least I have one sock done.I don't like the yarn at all, it splits too much for this cable pattern. I almost abandoned the sock because of that. Another small issue is that the sock is a little baggy around the ankle. I've started the cuff on sock #2 and with any luck it won't take me nearly as long to complete.

I finished my vest over the weekend. The steeks weren't as bad as I thought they would be. The yarn I used was slippery, so I had to take the extra step of doing an overcast stitch on the cut edge. I don't know if that will help anything or not, time will tell.Now I'm back to working on a sweater I started in July.

I'm still knitting kiri. It takes about two hours to knit 10 rows, so it will be awhile before it's finished. I purchased two skeins, but I think I'll use only one and make it smaller. Ene's scarf is finished!I don't know why I can't get a good photo of her, not even in the natural light. Knit with knitpicks alpaca cloud, I think the color is mist. As lace knitting goes, I would say that it was an easy pattern to follow. The only thing I don't like about it is the 8-stitch garter stitch edging. I've been working on a UFO baby surprise sweater that I had started last summer. My niece is expecting a baby and her shower is in April. The baby surprise is fun to do every once in awhile. I'd also like to knit a smaller lacier pink sweater since she's expecting a girl. I finished the Backyard Leaves scarf from the Scarf Style book. I don't like the way the two strips are joined together, but I'm going to have to live with it. I'm doing some decluttering and I need a better system for organzing my knitting magazines. Right now they are in piles on the book shelf and I flip through them whenever I'm looking for a pattern. It doesn't look like I've made much progress on the Cherry Blossom, but if I knit an hour each day, it will be done in about a week. There is about six inches folded underneath that can't be seen because of the circular needles. I was in the JC Penney store yesterday and they had the cutest knit stole on display. It would be so easy to duplicate, I wish I would have scrutinized it a little bit more, though. I went to a baby shower today, but the baby blanket had to stay behind. I either have to tear out the edging or give it to my dog and I think my dog is going to be the lucky recipient. In the meantime, I've updated St. Francis since we finally have some crocus' in bloom.

My BIL is going to allow me to try and sell some of my purses at his antique store. Most of the purses I've made so far have been copyrighted so I'll have to give those away, here is a photo of one of my own creations.
